- Provide flexible working hours/arrangements (where possible) to staff that are attending stop smoking support services.
- Promote the smokefree/vapefree policy and Stop Smoking support in staff induction folders.
- Ensure early learning service vehicles and offsite events, including excursions, are totally smokefree/vapefree.
- Identify and support an interested staff or parent member to complete the Effective Stop Smoking Conversations with Pregnant Women and become a smokefree champion for your service.
- Provide tips and practical strategies to staff and parents on a regular basis to support smokefree behaviour.
- Consider smokefree status in new staff recruitment processes and provide any required support.
